RONALD McDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES BALL RAISES ALMOST $450,000
On Friday 21 July 2017, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Victoria held its annual charity ball, raising $445,443 to support the work of RMHC, providing a home-away-from-home for families with a serious ill child.
The ‘Baby it’s Cold Outside’ themed event was held at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium, hosting a number of celebrity attendees, including Real Housewives of Melbourne’s Gamble Breaux, Love Child’s Dan Hamill and Home & Away newcomer Sarah Roberts who all got behind the fundraising.
Rhonda Burchmore, Boys in the Band, The Voices and DJ Vamp entertained guests throughout the night while encouraging them to give generously.
Guests enjoyed fine dining throughout the evening, silent and live auctions and money can’t buy experiences as well as a stunning indoor ice rink, truly creating the scene for a unique and fabulous event.
As Audi Zagame continued their support of the Gala for the second year, one lucky winner took home the stunning Audi Q3, which was the major raffle prize. Whilst Hardy Brothers Jewellers provided a stunning snow flake design diamond pendant and earring set for our popular Diamond Champagne Raffle.
Mr. Barry Fitzgerald, RMHC Ball Chairman said, "We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended Friday night’s ball and would like to thank them for their support, without which we would not be able to do the amazing work we do.
The funds from last night’s event will no doubt make a world of difference to each and every family that is currently staying in one of our Houses, or will in the future.”
